INTRODUCTION

Sameem Orphan-Care Foundation (SOFT), Mardan Khyber Pukhtun Khwa, Pakistan

is a welfare non-profit, non-government, non-religious, and non-political registered

organization under the trust act. It is determined to support the education of those

children who have lost their parents primarily in the wake of acts of terrorism or other

natural calamities. Since its inception, this organization has been working for relief

and rehabilitation of mostly orphans, prisoners and destitute people.

 

Before these orphans cross the threshold of SOFT, they are puzzled, secluded,

disorganized and broken. Here they realize a ray of hope and they feel that they will

attain their deck feet, clam their nerves and bring them back to normal life through

counseling, educating and giving personal attention to each child.

 

We pledged to care every child to the level of graduation, in that way safeguarding that

each one of them will leave Sameem Orphan-Care Foundation (SOFT) as a self-

sustaining and beneficial member of the society.

 

The year 2019 has been a best time period with an array of activities at Sameem

Orphan-Care Foundation (SOFT). Besides the local donors, the international

community also work with us and helped our kids. We will support them till the day

they become independent, start working for themselves and to become the agent of

peace for the humanity at large.

Financial Support to the Education of Orphans

Financial supporting the education of orphans means to bear the financial expenditure

of those orphan students who are studying in various schools and colleges. SOFT pays

the admission and monthly fees and other allied expenses to various schools and

colleges where these orphans are reading in various classes.

 

Vocational and Technical Education for Orphans

GM Technical Center (GM Tech).

 

SOFT established GM Technical Center for those students who have lost their

parents and they have to earn bread and butter and to support their brothers, sisters

and family. GM Tech provides technical training, vocational and entrepreneurial

education for six months to these orphans free of cast under the expertise of various

engineers in the following areas.

Rehabilitation of Prisoners

SOFT offers the Payment of Nominal Penalties of the prisoners who lingers in the jail

and unable to pay the penalties.

Relief and Rehabilitation

SOFT took active part in the relief and rehabilitation in the following national disaster.

  • Earthquake 2005.
  • Big Migration 2009
  • Pakistan Floods 2010

Health Care Services

SOFT organizes free medical camps and provision of medicines for the less privileged

segment of the society in the rural areas.

Qurbani Meat Distribution

SOFT slaughters sacrificial animals every year on the occasion of Eid Ul Azha and

distributes the meat the less privileged people i.e orphans, widows, prisoners, people

affected from natural calamities, poor and destitute.

 

Ramadan

Every year, during the Holy month of Ramadan SOFT arranges Iftar-Dinner Programs

for orphans, widows, prisoners, people affected from natural calamities, refugees, poor

and destitute people.

Drinking Water Well Borings

SOFT digs well borings in shape of hand pump for common public whom clean

drinking water is not available.

General Distribution

It is another very important regular feature of SOFT to organize distribution programs

of cash amount, food items, relief goods, medicines, tents, shoes and cloths etc.

among orphans, widows, prisoners, people affected from natural calamities, refugees,

poor and destitute
